Opening of the China Visa Application Center in Kuwait

To provide superior Chinese visa service, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait authorized to setup China Visa Application Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Visa Center”) in Kuwait City. The Visa Center is a commercial service organization registered in accordance with local laws and regulations and recognized by Chinese Embassy to handle the daily routine work of processing ordinary visa applications. Its main services are: to receive visa applicants, to collect visa fees on behalf of Embassy, to visa delivery, release visa information and so forth. Online appointment and form filling service will be available in the future. The Visa Center will charge for service provided. It is hereby announced as follows:

1. Beginning from Dec. 12th 2018, all ordinary passport holders visiting mainland China are required to submit their visa applications at the China Visa Application Center (CVAC) in Kuwait.

2. Service fee of China Visa Application Center: The center will charge visa fees, visa express fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy. Additionally, the center service fees are 28KWD for regular processing, 41KWD for express processing, 28KWD for VIP service, 41KWD for Postal Service (Exclusive of Tax).

3. Holders of diplomatic and service (official) passports or applicants eligible to apply for China's diplomatic, courtesy and service visas, and applicants applying for a visa to the Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Region of China should still apply directly to Consular office of the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait. The Consular office of the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait will continue to handle applications for notarization, legalization, Chinese passports, and travel documents.

4. The Center has no involvement in the visa assessment and decision-making process. Whether a visa to be issued or not, and what type of visa to be issued as well as its period of validity, number of entry and duration of stay shall be decided by the Chinese Embassy in the light of China’s relevant laws and regulations. The Chinese Embassy has the right to request the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or an interview.
