China uses 13.39 billion dollars of foreign investment in first quarter
China used about 13.39 billion US dollars of foreign investment in first quarter of 2005, up 9.48 percent year-on-year, the Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday.
Contract foreign investment in the first quarter reached 35.22 billion dollars, up 4.5 percent.
In the first quarter, China approved 9,305 new foreign companies, 9.15 percent less than the same term of 2004. By the end of 2004, there are about 280,000 foreign companies in China. Foreign investment China used reached 213.29 billion dollars.
